5 years and under

The first dance level will cover the basics of each style as well as teach class etiquette and positive social interaction!

Me & My Grownup!

A special bonding experience for babies and their caregivers! Designed for infants 9 months to 18 month toddlers with their grownups, this class introduces babies to the joy of movement and music in a safe, interactive way. Through gentle stretching, simple movements, and fun songs, caregivers help guide their little ones as they explore rhythm, body awareness, and coordination.

This class emphasizes bonding through shared play, while helping babies develop motor skills and a love for movement. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the activities, making it a fun and nurturing environment for both child and adult.

Dress Code: Grownups & Babies: Comfortable clothing for both baby and grownup, with socks or barefoot for the adult.

Babies are encouraged to wear comfortable onesies or soft clothing.

Movers & Groovers or Morning Movers

Movers and Groovers is a delightful introduction to movement for our youngest dancers! This class is designed to engage toddlers in fun, creative activities that promote early physical development, coordination, and rhythm. Through simple songs, props, and playful movement exercises, children will explore basic dance steps, balance, and motor skills in a supportive, nurturing environment.

Movers & Groovers helps foster self-expression, listening skills, and socialization, all while giving children the opportunity to move and groove to fun, age-appropriate music.

Dress Code: All: Comfortable t-shirt or tank top, leggings. Clean bare feet. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

Pre Ballet or Ballet & Boogie

Pre Ballet introduces young dancers to the joy of movement and the foundational elements of classical ballet. Designed for children ages 3-5, this class focuses on coordination, rhythm, basic positions, and creative expression in a fun and supportive environment.

Through imaginative exercises and age-appropriate technique, dancers build confidence, body awareness, and a love for dance—preparing them for the structure of Ballet 1.

Dress Code: 

Girls: Purple or black leotard and pink/nude tights. Ballet flats. Hair should be pulled back into a bun.

Boys: Purple or black shirt and black fitted pants. White socks and black ballet flats. 

*Ballet tights replace all normal undergarments*

Pre Acro Tumbling

Pre Acro Tumbling is the perfect introduction to gymnastics and acro dance for our youngest movers! In this class, students will learn basic tumbling skills such as rolls, bridges, and simple balance exercises, all while improving their flexibility, strength, and coordination. Using mats and fun activities, dancers will gain body awareness and control through playful movements.

Pre Acro Tumbling promotes confidence, physical development, and balance in a supportive and safe environment, laying the groundwork for more advanced acro skills in the future.

Dress Code: All: Biketard, unitard, or leotard with leggings (clothing must be one piece due to the skills performed) . Clean bare feet. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

Hippity Hop

Hippity Hop is an exciting, high-energy class that introduces young dancers to the fun world of Hip Hop! Through simple, age-appropriate movements and music, students will develop basic coordination, balance, and rhythm. This class focuses on building confidence and creativity while learning fun, freestyle-inspired dance moves. Kids will enjoy dancing to upbeat music and begin to express themselves through energetic, playful movement.

Dress Code: All: Comfortable t-shirt or tank top, leggings. White clean sneakers (specifically for dance, outside shoes are not allowed). Jeans are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

Tiny Tappers

​Tiny Tappers is a fun and energetic introduction to the world of tap dance, designed for our youngest dancers! In this class, students will learn basic tap steps and rhythms while developing coordination, motor skills, and musicality. Using playful songs and simple tap combinations, dancers will explore the sounds their tap shoes make, all while building a strong foundation in rhythm and timing.
This class emphasizes creativity, listening skills, and having fun with movement, setting the stage for future tap technique.

Dress Code: All: Comfortable t-shirt or tank top, leggings. Black tap shoes. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

Anchor Ballet

Leveled Ballet Technique

Ballet is the root of many dance styles and is an important part of any dancers training.

​

Dress code for these classes is as follows:

Girls: Leotard to match level and pink/nude tights. Ballet flats should be canvas or leather and well fitted. Hair should be pulled back into a bun.

Boys: Shirt in matching level color or white and black fitted pants. White socks and black ballet flats. 

*Ballet tights replace all normal undergarments*

Pre Ballet: Learn the basics of ballet in this upbeat and energetic class built for ages 3 to 5!

We learn classroom skills, ballet skills and have so much fun!

Purple or black leotards are required.

Ballet 1: The first level of ballet instruction offered to students 6 years and over.

Pre Ballet is recommended prior to enrollment.

Pink leotards are required.

Ballet 2: The second level of ballet instruction offered to student 8 years and over.

Level 1 or teacher approval is required prior to enrollment.

Lavender leotards are required.

Ballet 3: The third level of ballet instruction offered to student 10 years and over.

Level 2 or teacher approval is required prior to enrollment.

Light blue leotards are required.

Ballet 4: The fourth level of ballet instruction offered to student 12 years and over.

Level 3 or teacher approval is required prior to enrollment.

Royal blue leotards are required.

Ballet 5: The fifth level of ballet instruction offered to student 14 years and over.

Level 4 is required prior to enrollment.

Black leotards are required.

Ballet 6 Pointe: This very strenuous form of ballet is not required or expected at any age, however, students are not eligible before 13 years old and will need teacher assistance and possibly a doctor's authorization before enrollment.

Acrobatic Arts Certified Level Program

Rising Heights Dance is excited to offer an acrobatic tumbling dance program through our Acrobatic Arts level 1 certified instructors! Acrobatic tumbling teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic and tumbling techniques plus lifting/partnering tricks. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength.​

 

Dress code for this course is as follows:

Anchor Jazz

Emerald, Diamond, Sapphire, & Amethyst

Jazz is a great choice for students looking for structure and fun technique. Join us for an upbeat and progressive training in this dynamic style!

 

Dress code for this course is as follows:

All: Form fitting t-shirt, tank top or leotard with leggings or tights. Black or tan jazz shoes. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

​

Jazz Emerald: This class is for ages 6-8 and will teach the basics of jazz movement. No prerequisites are required.

Jazz Diamond: Built for ages 9-11, this is a second level class course for jazz students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through emerald technique.

Jazz Sapphire: Built for ages 12-14, this is a third level class course for jazz students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through diamond technique.

Jazz Amethyst: Built for ages 15 and up, this is our most advanced course for students. This class is designed for students with previous jazz experience and will challenge their skills and abilities as well as teach a variety of jazz styles.

Anchor Lyrical

Emerald, Diamond, Sapphire, & Amethyst

Lyrical is a beautiful and relaxed form of movement. Based in Ballet, it combines technique, style, and grace in a beautiful dance.

Dress code for this course is as follows:

All: Form fitting t-shirt, tank top or leotard with leggings or tights. Half-sole dance shoes. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

Lyrical Emerald: This class is for ages 6-8 and will teach the basics of lyrical movement. No prerequisites are required.

Lyrical Diamond: Built for ages 9-11, this is a second level class course for lyrical students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through emerald technique.

Lyrical Sapphire: Built for ages 12-14, this is a third level class course for lyrical students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through diamond technique.

Lyrical Amethyst: Built for ages 15 and up, this is our most advanced course for students. This class is designed for students with previous lyrical experience and will challenge their skills and abilities as well as teach a variety styles including more contemporary and modern movement.

Musical Theater is a great way to expand your students' horizons! Our triple-threat training includes the basics of jazz dancing, vocal training, and acting skills!

Dress code for this course is as follows:

All: Comfortable t-shirt or tank top, leggings. Black or tan jazz shoes. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

Musical Theater Emerald: Students ages 6-8 are welcome in this course at all levels!

Musical Theater Diamond: Students ages 9-11 are welcome in this course at all levels!

Musical Theater Sapphire: Students ages 12-14 are welcome in this course at all levels!

Musical Theater Amethyst: Built for ages 15 and up, students who have taken previous levels of musical theater may be invited to this advanced level class.

Hip Hop Basics Emerald: This class is for ages 6-8 and will teach the basics of hip hop movement. No prerequisites are required.

Hip Hop Basics Diamond: Built for ages 9-11, this is a second level class course for hip hop students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through emerald technique.

Hip Hop Basics Sapphire: Built for ages 12-14, this is a third level class course for hip hop students. This class is appropriate for older beginning students as well as those who have progressed through diamond technique.

Hip Hop Basics Amethyst: Built for ages 15 and up, this is our most advanced course for students. This class is designed for students with previous hip hop experience and will challenge their skills and abilities.

Dance & Education

Join us for a unique and enriching homeschool program that blends movement, music, and learning! Each month, students will explore a new dance style while diving into the history, music theory, and technique behind each genre.

Homeschool Discovery Elementary: This class is for ages 5-9 and is designed to support physical education, spark creativity, and foster appreciation for the performing arts. Beginners are encouraged- no prior dance experience needed!

Homeschool Discovery Secondary: This class is for ages 10-18 and is designed to support physical education, spark creativity, and foster appreciation for the performing arts. Beginners are encouraged- no prior dance experience needed!

By Audition Only

Rising Heights Dance offers the opportunity to attend one convention and two competitions annually, with additional events available. Competition teams also perform in a showcase! Auditions are held in June and are open to all students 6 years and older or by teacher invitation who have at minimum one year of dance experience.

Students will be selected for any of the following teams offered:

Elevation

Altitude

Ascent

Summit

Pinnacle

Apex

These teams are subject to change and may be assigned differently based on choreographic needs!

Competition students are expected to strictly follow the dress code based on their style of class.

All choreography classes are expected to wear a form fitting t-shirt, tank top or leotard with leggings or tights. Appropriate style dance shoes. Jeans or outside shoes are not allowed. Hair needs to be pulled away from face.

All teams are expected to take ballet and their team choreography class, and may be asked to take an additional courses depending on team levels.

Competition is a great way to allow students to explore more styles and avenues in the dance world! Students get to see other studios, travel locally and get to expand their horizons!
